History

Shamballa School was founded in 2000 and has been involved in a number of initiatives in esoteric education including the grounding of an experimental residential school in New Zealand at Highden along the lines indicated in Letters on Occult Meditation.

The residential school was an ambitious project and perhaps somewhat ahead of its time however much was learned by putting the thoughtform of such a school for initiation into practical expression.

The esoteric section of the school ran in residence for three years ansd the grounding work has since been built upon with the establishment of a residential School for teenagers that is perhaps more suited to modern demand for the esoteric teachings to be contacted in terms of life purpose, community and awakening to the sacred.

Some of the harvest of this fiery experiment can be found under the Schools section of the site. Most of what was learned however is now embodied in those teachers and students who came together in the spirit of adventure and sacrifice and are now applying that fire - either in the new incarnation of the School at Highden -or in their other chosen fields of pratical service.

The core group were guided in their group initiatory process by a series of transmissions - called the Mercury Transmissions - focused through the head of the School - Bruce Lyon

Current

The current work of the School is more esoteric and focuses on the empowerment and inspiration of its members and the wider group through meditative practice, rhythmic study and financial flow.

The School hosts an annual virtual group inquiry and occasional outer events. Written teachings are available on an ongoing basis through this site as well as an egroup.
