FREEDOM POETRY - LEO PROBE 2002

Lion Poem

With a flourish

The margins are Full of lions.

A tangle of claw and tail.

A bristle of thick pelts Muscling in.

Maybe Once In a blue moon

Is time for falling prey.

Will you throw them The scraps of your life

Or wait To be eaten whole?

This body Is a place at night to leave from.

This heart A sounding bowl.

Freedom May Enter US

At the very core of being

lies non being

Behind these two, mid pulse

the One life leaps but never lands

my end is my friend

we are held together in the embrace of the endless

How did Gandhi meet his bullet?

and John Lennon answering the door at night

was he already smiling in greeting?

When the lion charges the spear

He dares time with the timeless

"If you are done with me, then stop me

if not then perhaps I am done with you.

You see courage

but I am merely bored

with anything that seeks to limit my essential divinity

I LIVE in more worlds than this one.

there is that which is neither lion nor spear

If we look into each others I's mid - spring

Freedom may enter into us together."

THE YOGI

Utterly quiet,

Made clean of passion,

the mind of the yogi realizes Agni,

the fire of the true Self.

It is in this knowledge the yogi realizes his bliss in the Highest,

for his heart is within the Heart of the Lord,

the Lord of Shamballa.

The yogi's eye, seen through the Heart of the Lord,

sees principle and virtue, pain and suffering equally present,

from the lowest to highest.

The yogi knows the true Self: the Self in all creatures,

the Self in all of Creation, the Self in all of Humanity, the Self in all of Cosmos,

for he knows Self is the sun in each life.

The mind of the yogi inflamed with bliss nevertheless suffers every sorrow.

He knows the sorrows of all creatures, the sorrows of all children,

the sorrows of the rich and the sorrows of the poor,

and in that knowledge the yogi places all life's sufferings into His Chalice,

and all life's joys, into the rays of the Sun.

For, in both the smallest, and in the greatest, the Yogi sees the Sun;

and in his seeing all are held in the Highest, even the lowest.

Breathe Free

Be this breath breathing

Not only through my lungs

But inspiring motion lifting chests of all beings, through all time

Be this blood beating

Not only through my veins

But flowing liquid warming limbs of all beings, through all time

Be this bone holding

Not only my spine

But straightening all muscled creatures movements, through all of time

Be this wind caressing

Not only my skin

But all air blowing across all faces, through all of time

Be this stream trickling

Not only out my window

But all rivers flowing through all pebbled mountain passes, through all of time

Be this ocean breaking

Not only on my beach

But all waves breaking on every shore, through all of time

Be this world revolving

Not only in this sunshine But all worlds turning, in every system solar, through all of time

Be these stars exploding

Only in this One Space

Only this Space remaining,

Void, nothing more, no time

Be these thoughts thinking

Only exists one mind

All consciousness reflecting no difference, no me, no mine
