Judgement Day - The Trial Of Prometheus

One day the heavenly hounds

corner the ego thief

out on the open plain

one full state of consciousness

from the safety of his lair

Caught red-hearted

wielding the divine flame

in some passionate purpose

he twists and turns

dodging the scythe

but Saturn's cold gaze pins him

and summons the karma court

for a full accounting

Witnesses are called

not just from this life

but all the way back to

Individualisation.

There are no doubts

in any man or angel's mind and his guilt

has 21 million years

of compound interest accruing

Desperate, the accused

sentences himself to death

(still trying to stay in control)

but the lipika lords have a

more lengthy torment in mind

So, standing in the dock

he refuses to breathe in protest

already feeling the eagle's beak

on his liver

The Judge considers his verdict

but needs one more bit of information

No one has talked to the victim

Summon "God"

The candles flicker

" Omniscient One

As you already know

we have caught the thief

in possession of  Your fire

60 billion witnesses

have been your eyes

and await your Will

God looks over

at the blue faced prisoner

and laughs

"This one stole nothing

I freely gave him both the fire

and the impulse to take it

If he hadn't left in such a hurry

I'd have given him my blessing too

but then we all would have missed

such a fine trial"
