A Paper on The Externalising School

The purpose of this paper is to share some impressions, thoughts and an image of the externalising schools. The image, below is of an inverted sevenfold candelabra of descending light. The base is the One Fundamental School in Shamballa drawing on its energy from the logoic sea of fire. The Master Morya holds the point of synthesis through His ashram on the Atmic plane. Here the sevenfold light supernal is thrown down into the ashrams on the buddhic plane where the four branches and seven divisions of the One School are differentiated. On the mental plane the energy of the School is held by initiates and disciples in the various locations around the world. They are extending the fire via teaching and group work through the lower mental and astral planes and here and there it is beginning to break forth upon the etheric plane where permanent centres are being anchored and ignited like the wicks on the candles.

Different groups are working at various different levels of this great Antahkarana which is really a living column of liberating energy - a vortex that at the moment is touching down here and there but , as the seventh ray age develops, will become seven stable pillars from the highest to the lowest. Pillars that will not only bring Shamballic energy fully into the three worlds but will allow for the gradual liberation of consciousness from the three worlds. It is this two- directional flow of energy, of invocation and evocation that lies at the core of the coming Schools of Initiation.

Pillars, of course, need foundations and the real foundation is not a physical centre, but Shamballa. The relationship between the pillar and the base was bought home to me in visiting Pompey's Pillar on the site of the Serapeum Temple and the old Library at Alexandria.

In the tunnels underneath this great tower which has stood since the third century when the Library was lost are shrines to Serapis and Isis. The foundations are hollow and filled with prayer! An invisible foundation!

Every structure has its outer walls and its invisible foundation. One cannot be without walls, but walls will not stand without foundation. There are two aspects of manifestation in everything: one is the walls, as a symbol of the Teacher, and the other is the foundation, as the manifestation of the Mother of the World. Which is more substantial? Ponder!

It is the recognition of the shared foundation that allows the different pillars to cooperate with each other in building the Temple even though they may be holding opposite corners. And it is recognition of The Mother of the World as the essence of fire that allows us to sense our unity in Virgo on the monadic plane.

Upon the highest summit stands effulgent the Mother of the World. She came forth to smite the darkness. Why are the enemies fallen? And whither do they turn their eyes in desperation? She has cloaked Herself in a fiery mantle and encircled Herself in a fiery wall. She is our citadel and our striving.

And behind the Mother of the World is the formless fire mist of Leo and the Logoic plane. Guarding the pillar in Alexandria are two sphinx. The sphinx combines the energy of Leo and Virgo. So we might consider then threefold aspects of fire symbolised here. Formless fire mist on the logoic plane, essential coherent fire - the Mother of the World on the monadic plane, and then directed fire the Pillars - the Masters of Wisdom who direct the sevenfold light supernal into the five worlds via the atmic plane.

Founded in this synthesis which IS, how can we cooperate as esotericists in this externalising process ie the descent of this fire through the five worlds. In contemplating this question I am drawn to Rule 10 in Rays & Initiations.

This is the rule for working with Shamballa energy - passing it from point to point via the centres of the different chakras and clearing out the 'courts' found between the different veils on the etheric plane. Perhaps we might attempt to consciously work with the rules as given from the Master's Book of Rules

1. Focus the force at the jewel's point and find the veil that it can touch.

2. Carry the force from point to point and then project.

3. Look for the energy in form behind the veil attacked. A rent within the veil exists. Find it and see.

4. A path lies through the veils, giving access to the several courts. Walk on that path, wielding destruction and clearing out the refuse in the court. The court of the money changers is the last.

5. Meet the descending forces and find the current which is yours.

6. Watch for the evil stream of force which seeks to mend the rents. Project upon that stream the energy of which you know. It led you from the Ashram into the veils. Use it and drive the evil back unto the astral plane.

7. Work with the Sound and know it as the source of power. Use first the Voice; then use the O.M., and later use the Sound. All three together will suffice.

Certainly we are at a time when 'clearing the court of the money changers' on a global scale is crucial for the manifestation, not only of the Schools but for the Externalisation in general. As energetic workers we can assist in 'holding the rents open' in the Great Illusion. As the energies pour in to our groups through the cosmic ethers on the higher four subplanes of the cosmic physical, we may be able to penetrate through the three worlds and pour them in to the four physical ethers, thus clearing the way for a fuller sacredising of the third aspect. It could be said that humanity now has a somewhat enlightened mind, an opening heart and a closed wallet.

It is not so much the minds and hearts of men that need to be prepared and adjusted now as their actions on the physical plane. This will be the result of light supernal, the light of life itself , breaking forth upon the etheric physical plane. This 'life' results in the substitution of the 'instinct for self preservation' with the 'spiritual instinct'. We are told that 'light supernal' - a sevenfold synthetic light wielded from the atmic plane is inevitable on earth when the seventh ray and the Age of Aquarius coincide and that this is the seventh such coincidence of the fifth rootrace. (Dina 2 425).

The purpose behind the release of this light is the bringing of illumination and the establishing of Order on the Earth.

The Keynote of the coming Schools is Will and Synthesis. They are designed, not so much to educate ( the personality ) about the soul but to educate ( draw out ) the soul itself into a full relationship with the monad as well as the personality - to BE the bridge between heaven and earth. It is ultimately the soul which is initiated into its true function. So, whatever our different groups, ray affiliations and outer projects, all those who work for Synthesis form one pillar of fire from the highest to the lowest from Leo to Aquarius. That fire is the very substance of our being - driven like a sword through the planes seeking expression ultimately on the etheric.

Our work is as much to open to this descent of fire - to realise ourselves essentially AS this fire - as it is to direct it into forms, from thoughts on down to physical centres. For any project in the three worlds to be inspired from the top down there must not only be wicks and wax but the fire to ignite the wicks. And that fire must descend through us.

And is there that within the three worlds that is resistant to this inflow? Are there forces which try to mend any rent within the veil to protect the forms which have already been created from being purified and tempered by it? Are there obstacles ? Friends don't we know! And yet what power do the obstacles have when at our backs is the Sword of Shamballa? Who will resist what IS from becoming?

And so at this time of equal day and night, dark and light I send a celebration of the third force - the indomitable human spirit that can operate most effectively in the pause between the inbreath and the outbreath. Let us, as Morya exhorts, "Unbolt our Portals" and let in the fire!

Can We rejoice at the steadfastness of your path? Can the Mother of the World name you the just? Could the "Lion" become the guard at your dwelling? Can the Light bathe the new steps?
