Rulers of the Cosmic Astral Triad

The astrological signs associated with the three central subplanes of the cosmic astral plane are as follows

3^rd Subplane – Pisces – Hierarchical Ruler – Pluto

4^th Subplane – Aries – Hierarchical Ruler – Uranus

5^th Subplane – Taurus – Hierarchical Ruler – Vulcan

3^rd Subplane ( Atma ) – Libra – Hierarchical Ruler – Saturn

4^th Subplane ( Buddhi ) – Scorpio – Hierarchical Ruler – Mercury

5^th Subplane ( Manas ) – Capricorn – Hierarchical Ruler – Venus

Until the cosmic antahkarana is built the higher energies reflect in the lower  ( Demon est Deus Inversus HPB ) – thus

Pluto relates to Venus, Uranus to Mercury and Vulcan to Saturn. ( Pluto drags Venus into the underworld and Vulcan prepares the form )

 Once the antahkarana is in place ( work begun by the Christ ) the higher energies interpenetrate the lower and a reversion takes place - then Vulcan is bought into relationship with Venus, Uranus still to Mercury and Pluto to Saturn.

( Vulcan ‘marries venus’ . Pluto liberates from Saturn )

This process results in the reversion of the triad which is the role of the human hierarchy ( mercury ) under the direction of the Planetary Logos ( polarized on the fourth subplane of the cosmic astral ruled by Uranus )

Uranus embodies the energy of the seventh ray and its work is analogous to that of Mercury, for the seventh ray is the ray which relates spirit and matter and brings together electric fire and fire by friction, thus producing manifestation. Uranus leads the soul to the burning ground during the final stages of the Path, when the fire of Aries and the fires engendered through the potency of Uranus produce the flaming heat of the final burning ground. Through this burning ground, the initiate has finally to pass. Uranus rules the occult Way and is, in an esoteric sense, connected with the Hierophant of the Mysteries of Initiation. EA 100

The inversion/reversion of the triad is easily seem by examining all the rulers of the three subplanes

Atmic –     -  Venus ( Ex ) Uranus ( Es ) Saturn ( h )

Buddhic  -     Mars (Ex)    Mars ( Es )     Mercury (h)

Mental          Saturn ( Ex ) Saturn ( Es )  Venus ( h)

The rulerships of Venus and Saturn are interchanged between the exoteric and hierarchical positions. These are the representatives of the angel and the Dweller that must be bought together at the third initiation.

The human soul ( mercury ) must use the power of Uranus to break the solar angel ( venus ) free from the mind ( Saturn ) and lift her to the monad. ( Remember in mythology it was Saturn as the representative of Gaia who cut the testicles off Uranos resulting in the birth of Venus in the realm of the three worlds ). The restoration of the fifth hierarchy as representative of the five kumaras is thus achieved.

It might here be pointed out that the evolution of the Heavenly Men is unequal, and that our planetary Logos has not the control, for instance, that the Heavenly Man of the Venus chain has achieved.  In each round one subplane of the cosmic astral plane is brought under control, and the consciousness of the Heavenly Man expands to include one subplane more.  The planetary Lord of Venus has dominated and controlled the five subplanes and is working on the sixth.  Our planetary Logos is engaged in a similar work on the fourth and fifth.  The work, as in all cycles, overlaps and it might be explained thus:

He is perfecting the control of the fourth subplane on the cosmic astral plane, and has nearly completed it.  He is beginning to work at the control of the fifth subplane—a control which will be perfected in the fifth round. TCF 291

Thus we might assume The Lord of Venus is focused in third subplane cosmic astral matter . The Logos of Earth in fourth subplane matter and the Logos of Saturn in fifth subplane matter. Mercury would be in the fifth sub of the fourth subplane.

The building of the planetary antahkarana enables the human soul to be put in touch with his higher prototype. The lightning of Uranus ruling the fourth subplane of the cosmic astral is bought down into the fourth subplane of the cosmic physical via the planetary logos in the fourth round of the fourth chain and used to resurrect the fifth hierarchy from its fall into matter. The dead is raised to LIFE.
